With the ever -increasing cases of Covid-19,many celebrities decide to help the government in their efforts for providing Covid shelters for the needy. Shah Rukh Khan made a huge contribution for the people affected by COVID as the superstar has opened his office for treating COVID-19 patients. On April 24, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan announced that they have lent their office, located in Khar Mumbai, to BMC and turned it into a quarantine centre. This move of the couple was appreciated by BMC and they also thanked them publicly. Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh both had also reciprocated to this thank you note, by terming it their responsibility. However, according to a story in Mumbai Mirror it seems that the BMC has further converted the superstar’s office into an ICU for critical patients.
As per the leading daily, the 15-bed facility will be operational from today, in association with Khan’s Meer Foundation, Hinduja Hospital in Khar and the BMC. It is reported that the work on upgrading the space into an ICU facility began on July 15 and isolated patients were shifted to another centre. The tabloid even carried a statement of Executive director of Hinduja Hospital (Khar), Dr Avinash Supe said that it has been equipped with ventilators, oxygen lines, high flow nasal oxygen machines and liquid oxygen storage tanks for high-risk and critical patients. He further said that the service will be run by Hinduja Hospital under the guidance of the BMC.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly, he is in talks with Rajkumar Hirani, Ali Abbas Zafar for their upcoming projects
