Mondays make a moody start for corporate junkies. After a two-day off, everyone finds it hard to get things going. What if such a slow day turns out to be a thrilling ride? A fight with the girlfriend, an unwanted mix-up with a dangerous gang almost causing a death, etc. etc.
This is what happens in the life of an NRI named Shyam Kumar, who is a software engineer by profession. This is just a premise of ‘How is that for a Monday?’ an upcoming movie starring actor Kaushik Ghantasala.
A comedy thriller, the film is a satire on the current day economic and social reality of the USA and other countries across the globe, said the writer and director of the film Sripal Sama.
Actor Kaushik had previously appeared in movies such as Men Too and Brochevarevarura. He co-starred with Hollywood actors such as Candido Carter, Keegan Guy, Megan Barlow and Elester Latham.
Acclaimed Malayalam composer Dawn Vincent gave a background score to this film. ‘Mallesham’ fame Raghavender Vuppuganti edited the film. Emmy award winner Scott Wolf from Hollywood did sound mixing for the film.
On Thursday, noted director Sekhar Kammula watched the movie and appreciated the team. He extended his best wishes for the makers.
While the trailer teaser set good expectations, Sekhar Kammula’s comments on the film has raised the bar high. Moreover, the movie won several international awards. Following a U/A certificate from CBFC, “How is that for a Monday?” is slated for its theatrical release worldwide in Telugu and English languages on October 27.
