Mirzapur is a crime thriller which revolves around drugs, guns, crime and lawlessness. It depicts the government, rule of mafia, rivalry and crime that prevails in the Purvachal region of Uttar Pradesh. The first season had a stellar cast of Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Divyendu Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Mirzapur Season 2 will premiere on the streaming platform on October 23, 2020. 
The makers of the web series revealed its release date via a teaser, which hints that Mirzapur 2 is going to be bigger and better. At the end of the first season, we saw how Munna (Divyenndu Sharma) destroyed the life of Guddu (Ali Fazal) by killing his brother Bablu (Vikrant Massey) and his wife Sweety (Shriya Pilgaonkar). In Mirzapur 2’s teaser, one can hear Guddu sharing how the world is divided into two kinds of people – alive and dead. But guess he falls in the third category – the injured. The new season will hence follow Guddu who is out to avenge the death of his loved ones.
