Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is all set to come up with a sports film titled as ‘Maidaan’ under the direction of Amit Ravindrenath Sharma.
Tollywood actress Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in this movie which is also going to mark the Bollywood debut of her. Gajraj Rao, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever, etc are playing crucial roles in the movie. The shooting of the movie is currently going on with a brisk pace. As per the latest reports, the movie unit has completed the second schedule of the film. The team will kickstart the shooting of the next schedule in Kolkata from November. The film is going to be about the story of a golden era of Indian football 1952-1962.
Boney Kapoor under Zee Telefilms is bankrolling this project. Santhosh Sivan is cranking the camera. The movie is slated to hit the theatres in 2020.
