Slowly but steadily, mainstream actors are realising the importance of the digital medium in a scenario where theatrical releases aren’t an option. The latest entrant into the OTT space is actor, producer Sarath Kumar. He will star in an action series titled Birds of Prey. From the sources in the know, it is believed that the show is an adaptation of a novel by the same name, written by Archana Sarat.
The news was revealed by his better half Radhikaa Sarath Kumar on social media. “A Good day to welcome you to the OTT world! Happy Birthday Sarath!,” the post read. It was only a matter of time that the couple that has produced many films and television soaps will enter the digital space. What’s interesting is the involvement of her daughter Rayane Mithun in the same.
If we’re go to by the description of the book, the protagonist is an ex-ACP who reluctantly joins the investigation into the mysterious disappearances of men from affluent families in a metropolis. “There is an inexplicable pattern behind the abductions and all suspicions point towards an old, physically-challenged, mysterious lady. Soon, he discovers that the seemingly unrelated men have one common link—the most popular and expensive international school,” it read. Looks like Sarath Kumar would fit into the role like a T!
