Biopics are the season and many filmmakers are planning out to go for as you’re sure to pull the crowd to the theatres. After Sanjay Dutt and Saina Nehwal’s biopic underway, now the turn of ace tennis player Sania Mirza.
Reportedly, noted Bollywood producer Ronnie Screwvala has met Sania Mirza and talks are underway. It is also learnt that the ’s RSVP Productions house wants to have Sania herself showcase the acting chops as they think who could play better than the sportswoman herself as she is camera-friendly and quick-learner. However, negotiations is underway and no deal has been sealed yet.
Sania Mirza To Act Herself In Biopic?
“Who’s better equipped to play Sania than the woman herself? She is beautiful and extremely camera-friendly, and as far as acting talents go, no one’s born a seasoned actor. She will learn, she’s a quick learner,” says a source.
The makers also underlined that unlike Sanju which was apparently a whitewash, Sania’s biopic would’be the case. They will showcase all the matter which courted controversy from her marriage to the Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and her sports attire where she wore skirts that raised many eyebrows.
