Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial debut in Telugu and Hindi industry was no less than a dream. Arjun Reddy and the its Hindi remake, Kabir Singh both went on to become blockbuster hit, churning moolah for the producers and creating a storm among the audience which made the film to stand out. Post this, there were many rumours on and off of Sandeep’s next Bollywood project with Ranbir Kapoor. Well, if everything falls in place, Sandeep’s next Bollywood project would be with Kapoor as the latter awaits for the narration of his gangster drama.
The film will be bankrolled by Murad Khetani, who had produced Kabir Singh. Confirming about the his reunion with Sandeep, Murad said, “The script is locked. Before the lockdown brought everything to a standstill, Sandeep was writing and looking to narrate it to the actors in May or June. He is in Hyderabad right now and once things get back to normal, the narrations will happen and we will proceed with the casting.”
The touted gangster drama title is said to Devil, which is widely speculated. Ask him about the rumoured title, Murad clarifies, “There is no title yet. All I can say is that it is an intense gangster drama. I am waiting to hear the final narration.”
Ranbir is currently awaiting the release of Ayan Mukerji Brahmastra. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy the film was scheduled to release on December 4, however with lockdown due to COVID made the makers to drop the plan.
