Two days ago, a huge controversy erupted when Kirrak Party actress Samyuktha Hegde posted a video where she and her friends were reportedly moral policed by an AICC member, activist Kavitha Reddy about their clothes and behaviour in a park in Bengaluru. There were angry retorts from both ends though many of them had trusted Samyuktha’s version of the episode.

A day later, Kavitha had even claimed that moral policing was among the last of her agendas and that Samyuktha and her friends were humiliating the staff in the park and creating a ruckus. And that the actress’ social media presence and trolling can’t do much to submerge the truth. Sometime later, the actress went onto file an FIR against the activist after which the issue headed for closure.

Earlier in the day, the activist went onto post an apology video concerning the issue, stating that she shouldn’t have reacted the way she did, at the park, regardless of what had transpired. While it’s a relief that the controversy has died down, one feels both the sides were at fault for their animated reactions during the episode. Anyway, all’s well that ends well!
