Much to the shock to all the audience, Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu’s Kobbari Matta is dominating King Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 across various areas of the Telugu states. Manmadhudu 2, which was released on Friday, got a negative talk right from day one, which has affected its collections.
Sampoo’s film does better than Manmadhudu 2
Though Kobbari Matta had a limited release, it is performing well in its target areas of B and C centers. Few theatres have stopped screening Manmadhudu 2 and opting to screen Kobbari Matta. Manmadhudu 2 collected a total gross of Rs. 2.83 lakhs on Friday in RTC X Rodas theatre, Shanti 70mm.
On the flip side, Kobbari Matta earned Rs. 2.88 lakh on its first day of release on Saturday in Sandhya 70 MM while Manmadhudu 2 managed to collect only Rs. 1.93 lakhs. Though the seating capacity of Sandhya is a bit higher than that of Shanti, we can’t deny the fact that Kobbari Matta’s collections are way beyond the reach of Manmadhudu 2 in that respective area.
