Sammohanam Movie Review And Rating
Sudheer Babu is betting big on Sammohanam and the big day arrived for the cast and crew as the film has finally hit the screens today. Helmed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies banner. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari is making her Tollywood debut with Sammohanam. So how the movie fared? Did Sammohanam is a good comeback for Sudheer and a decent debut for Aditi?
Story:
Vijay (Sudheer Babu) is a cartoonist who works in a movie industry but holds a negative impression about the actors working in this field, assuming it to be pretentious and having fabricated relationships. What happens when he encounters Sameera (Aditi), how their relationship moulds. Needless to say, Vijay is smitten by Sameera’s charm and falls for her. It takes to the insights of Vijay’s perspective and the impending doom that arises after he falls for an actress. Does his opinion change on the actors working in this field and what happens to his relationship with Sameera? This formes the crux of the story.
Performances:
Unarguably, this is the best film in Sudheer’s career. He got into the skin of Vijay’s character seamlessly, while Aditi couldn’t have asked for a better debut in Tollywood where she got to work with Indraganti and given a substantial role for her. The actress proved her histrionics in Cheliya, and so is the case in Sammohanam as she transforms into Sameera’ role perfectly. While other actors like Rahul Ramakrishna and Shishir Sharma fit the bill and played their portions well.
Technical:
The production values are rich and producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad should be given full score for not compromising anywhere. We have beautiful locales and exotic scenic location covered.
Verdict:
Sammohanam should be on your bucket list this weekend for a joyous ride.
