Samantha’s magnum opus ‘Shaakuntalam’ will hit cinemas worldwide on February 17. The ‘Yashoda’ actress will be seen in this pan-India movie which is being made in 3D.
The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film is produced by Neelima Guna and presented by Dil Raju. Starring Samantha in the titular role, the film has Malayalam actor Dev Mohan in the Dushyant character.
Senior Telugu stars Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj and Gautami have landed prominent roles. Aditi Balan of the Tamil movie ‘Aruvi’ fame and Ananya Nagalla of ‘Vakeel Saab’ fame, Kabir Duhan Singh have key characters to play.
‘RRR’ and ‘Project K’ writer Sai Madhav Burra and editor Prawi have worked on the film. Taking to her Twitter account, Samantha shared the news saying, “Witness the #EpicLoveStory #Shaakuntalam in theatres from Feb 17th 2023 Worldwide! Also in 3D.”
