Samantha Ruth Prabhu has openly shared personal stories from her life on various occasions. One significant moment she discussed was on Koffee With Karan Season 7 where she revealed how a major decision by her father led her into the film industry.
During her conversation with Karan Johar Samantha was asked if acting was always her career goal. She admitted that she didn’t have a choice in the matter. Samantha explained that things became difficult at home when her father decided he would not cover her educational loans. With her family unable to afford further education she had no option but to turn to acting.
Samantha recalled that difficult conversation with her father saying, “No, it wasn’t my choice. Things were tough at home. We didn’t have the money for my studies so I ended up joining films. But I am really glad. When my father said he couldn’t pay my loans, it changed my life.”
Samantha is known for her honest and direct comments about her life. At a teaser launch event for her upcoming film Citadel: Honey Bunny, she was asked how she handles life’s challenges. Samantha admitted, “Yes, I do give up sometimes. I can’t say that I don’t. But that’s not where the story ends. I always find a way to get back up.”
On the work front, Samantha will next appear alongside Varun Dhawan in the thriller series Citadel: Honey Bunny.
