Some actors in Tollywood promote themselves more than promoting the film that is scheduled to release in theatres.
Take the case of Natural Star Nani. He promoted very extensively touring Lucknow and Mumbai and spoke to Bollywood media about his film ‘Dasara’. As he knew that it was at the cost of producers’ money, he openly commented that promotions would help him for the next film. Dasara turned out to be a disaster in north India.
Samantha too seems to be doing the same thing during ‘Shakuntalam’ promotions. It is originally a Telugu film with a pan-India subject. But is it necessary for Samantha to vigorously promote it in Bollywood? This might help her for her next project ‘Citadel’.
