Samantha Akkineni is gearing up for the release of Jaanu on February 7. Starring Sharwanand, it is bankrolled by Dil Raju. Jaanu is the remake of Tamil film, 96 which had Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi. The Telugu film teaser and trailer has been received well with the audience and been an instant hit with the melodious songs too.
But are you aware that Samantha when first approached for Jaanu has had out-rightly rejected the film . However, adamant Dil Raju who was keen to cast Samantha approached her for second time and convinced her. Sam made the shocking revelation at the audio-launch held on January 1. She said, “When Dil Raju approached me first, I outrightly rejected the film and said that I can’t do it. But, thank you Raju sir for asking me the second time. I could feel that we were creating magic every day on the sets and recreating a classic film in Telugu. I feel that I should talk less before the release. But, I am sure I’ll speak more about the film after February 7.”
