Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a well-known actress in the Telugu and Tamil film industries, recently completed 15 years in cinema. She made her debut with Ye Maaya Chesave (YMC) in 2010, a film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The movie also starred Naga Chaitanya who later became her husband before their separation in 2021.

In a recent interview, Samantha shared her memories of working on Ye Maaya Chesave. She mentioned that she remembers every scene she shot for the film. The actress recalled how some parts of her career seemed like a long journey while others felt like a blur. She admitted that in her early days, she struggled with acting and had no one to guide her especially since she was unfamiliar with Tamil.

Talking about her first day on set, Samantha said the first scene she shot was when her character Jessie met Chaitanya’s character, Karthik. She vividly remembered every detail of that moment especially how director Gautham Menon guided her to bring the character to life. According to her, working with Menon was a wonderful experience as he had a clear vision for the film.

After Ye Maaya Chesave, Samantha quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses in Telugu cinema. In the same year, she starred in Brindavanam alongside Jr NTR, further solidifying her place in the industry. Over the years, she acted in several successful films. Her performances received critical acclaim, and she gained immense popularity among fans.

In recent years, Samantha has explored various roles beyond mainstream cinema. In 2023, she appeared in Shaakunthalam and Kushi, while in 2024, she starred in the web series Citadel: Honey Bunny on Prime Video. Currently, she is working on another web series, Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, directed by Raj & DK. She is also producing and acting in a film titled Maa Inti Bangaram.

Samantha married Naga Chaitanya in 2017, but the couple divorced in 2021. Recently, Chaitanya remarried actress Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024. Despite her personal challenges, Samantha continues to focus on her career and explore new opportunities.
