Venkatesh, recently starred in the action thriller Saindhav, directed by Sailesh Kolanu. In Saindhav, Venkatesh explores a different side of his acting skills, portraying SaiKo as a devoted father and husband. The movie received mixed reviews in theaters, but its digital streaming rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video for Rs 15 Crore.
Originally expected to debut in March, now the latest news is that the OTT release has been moved up to February 9 due to the film’s underwhelming box office performance.
The film tells the story of SaiKo (Saindhav Koneru), a family man with a hidden past who must confront his dark history to save his daughter, diagnosed with a rare illness.
The plot revolves around SaiKo, played by Venkatesh, who must return to his troubled past to secure funds for his daughter’s treatment. The formidable antagonist, Vikas Malik, is portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his Telugu debut. The supporting cast includes Arya, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Jisshu Sengupta, Mukesh Rishi, and Jayaprakash.
Sailesh Kolanu wrote and directed the film, with Venkat Boyanapalli producing it under the Niharika Entertainment banner. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music, while S Manikandan handled cinematography and Garry BH served as the editor.
