Sai Pallavi made her debut with Malayalam film Premam, the film made her an overnight star in Kerala and the film’s blockbuster tag also helped her getting noticed by other industries. She is a popular name down South and since then went on to star in notable films like Dhanush’s Maari 2 in Kollywood and Fidaa in Telugu to name a few. Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi was left irked in an recent interview when the show anchor referred her as “Mallu” girl as her brought up was done in Kerala and has done many Malayalam films.
Sai Pallavi however lost her cool and reacted to the show anchor stating that she is ‘Pucca Chennai Ponnu’. She added that she is a Tamil speaking girl who was raised in Kerala, adding just because she has acted in Malayalam films doesn’t make her a ‘Malayali’. On the professional front, Sai Pallavi will be seen Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story. This is second collaboration of Sai Pallavi with the filmmaker after Fidaa, while she has first time teamed-up with Naga Chaitanya.
