It seems hero Sai Dharam Tej is yet to get over the rumours of his romantic link-up with Regina Cassandra. He appears still hurt. In fact, Regina is one of his closest friends and was his heroine in Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham. Then, they were together in Subramanyam for Sale. This was enough for the rumour mill to go on an over drive. Since they were good friends, they moved closely and addressed one another in the friendliest of the terms. The rumour mill went into a tizzy. Since then Teju began distancing himself from her and began working with other heroines. Then they parted company. But, Teju appears to have not forgotten all this.
Recently, at a film do, Teju referred to this. He said: In those days, there were rumours about my link up with a heroine. I was afraid that such rumours would ruin the girl’s career. So, we started moving apart. We stopped acting together and eve meeting one another.”
“I respected her a lot and continue to do so. But, I did not want to ruin our friendship. I can never forget my first director, first film, first producer and the first heroine,” he said. Though he did not mention Regina’s name, everybody knew who it was. So, he stopped seeing her as he was afraid of the rumours!!
