SS Rajamouli’s RRR test shoot was supposed to take place at Gandipet today, June 25, with limited crew and cast. However, the test shoot has got cancelled yet again. According to reports, the filmmaker was well prepared for the shoot adhering to all the norms and guidelines implemented by the government. However, after latest reports came in that a Telugu TV actor Prabhakar has tested positive for COVID on the sets, it has sent alarming bells to the RRR team, who then reportedly decided to call off the shoot.
Notably, the coronavirus cases are rising day by day in the state and considering that it won’t be safe to resume the shoot, Rajamouli has dropped off the idea. Incidentally, the lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR also are not keen to resume shoot in a scary situation. The film set in pre-Independence era will see Ram Charan and Jr NTR who play real life freedom fighters -Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju respectively. Bankrolled by DVV Danayya, it has a stellar star cast with the likes of Bollywood actors and International actors. Akin to Baahubali 2 release in April, RRR is being planned for Summer release in 2021.
