Puri Jagan has worked so hard to promote his son’s film titled Romantic. The film is released finally and, read our review to find out if the film has any juice in it or not.
Plot
Vasco(Akash Puri) is a small-time crook in Goa. He joins the underworld and dreams of becoming the king of the drug mafia in Goa. In this process, he also falls for a hot girl called Monika(Ketika Sharma). In a tragic turnaround of events, Vasco kills a cop, and a top officer Ramya(Ramya Krishna) gets after him. Why is Vasco so desperate to earn money? and will Ramya nab him is the basic plot.
Performances
Akash Puri has improved by leaps and bounds from his first film. The manner in which he handles his role looks decent. But the way he handles over-the-top dialogues does not look good on the young actor. Ketika Sharma is amazing in her hot avatar and also acts well. Makrand Deshpande is decent as the villain and so was Ravi Rana. Rama Prabha did her part.
Analysis
Anil Paduri has directed this film and in a way, he has taken so many scenes of Puri’s previous films and made this project as well. The film nicely showcases the Goan drug mafia and the styling of bad goons is just like any other film.
In many scenes, you will understand that one is watching previous Puri films. Ramya Krishna is brought late but she does well with her role and her scenes with Akash Puri are pretty good.
The music is good and the dialogues are loud but the masses will love them. There is nothing new in the film but the romance is good and this is enough for the youth to enjoy it. Just watch the film for that and the rest is a bore-fest.
Bottom Line – Loud Romance
