Robinhood box-office collection ray 1
Nithiin and Sreeleela’s latest film Robinhood hit theaters on March 28, 2025. Directed by Venky Kudumula, this action heist comedy generated decent buzz before its release. The film features an interesting cameo by Australian cricketer David Warner and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Initially, Robinhood was set for a Christmas release last year but was postponed to avoid competition. The film was originally titled VNRTrio as it was supposed to feature Rashmika Mandanna but Sreeleela later replaced her. The movie clashed with MAD Square another major release marking the beginning of the summer holiday season.
Nithiin whose last box office hit was five years ago, is aiming for a strong comeback. Early audience reactions suggest that Robinhood carries the signature Venky Kudumula-style humor and action. Fans compare it to the director’s previous hits Chalo and Bheeshma. Nithiin’s performance, especially his comic timing and action sequences, has been appreciated. Sreeleela, too, impressed with her acting skills.
According to Sacnilk, the film’s estimated Day 1 collection is around ₹1 crore. The opening occupancy rate is 19.62% slightly lower than MAD Square. While the movie has entertaining moments, critics pointed out flaws in the screenplay particularly in the second half. Weak characterization of the villain and pacing issues were highlighted.
Despite these drawbacks, Robinhood has the potential to gain momentum over the weekend if positive word-of-mouth spreads.
