While Showik Chakraborthy is languishing in jail, his sister, Bollywood actress and the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Rhea Chakraborty on Tuesday moved to Bombay High Court against the late actor’s sisters. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Meetu and Priyanka approached the Bombay High Court against Rhea Chakraborty’s FIR. Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty had filed a counter FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh to the Mumbai Police which was later transferred to the CBI.
Rhea, in her six-page long complaint, stated that Sushant passed away five days after he obtained a prescription wherein “he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka”.Sushant sisters Meetu and Priyanka had filed a petition to quash the FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty. Now, Rhea Chakraborty has requested the Bombay High Court to dismiss the plea of Sushant’s sisters. Rhea filed an affidavit in the HC on Tuesday opposing their plea and said the allegations against them are serious. She also said since the probe in the case against Sushant Rajput’s sisters is at a nascent stage, time needs to be given to the investigating agency.
In the affidavit filed through her advocate Satish Maneshinde, the actress said “(Sushant) Rajput died merely five days after he obtained the said prescription, wherein he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister (Priyanka) and Dr Tarun Kumar,” Rhea Chakraborty said in her affidavit. It needs to be investigated whether Sushant Rajput consumed the medicines prescribed, which may have contributed to his death and/or further deteriorated his mental health, the affidavit said.
