Plot
Balram(Adarsh Gaurav) is a small-town guy who is asked to become a driver of this rich NTR couple played by Raj Kumar Rao and Priyanka Chopra. But Balram’s life becomes torrid as he is asked to take the blame for an accident done by Priyanka Chopra. This suppression from his owners does not go well with him and he decides to become the superpower. What all does a small-time worker do to become a rich man forms the story of this film.
The film belongs to Adarsh, the small-time actor who becomes a man in this film. He as a driver, to the rich gangster, has done so well in the film. It is his story and at a point, he even dominates the likes of Priyanka and Raj Kumar. Speaking of Rajkumar looks like he has sleepwalked through the film and speaks a fake English accent. Priyanka s okay in her NTR role and looks hot in all the lovemaking scenes. The rest of the cast was okay.
The film’s theme is simple as it is a rag to riches story in a simple form. The film starts off quite nicely with the premise of Balram and his issues set so nicely. The manner in which how the poor are looked upon in India is showcased so well in the film. All the scenes that showcase this part are so natural and well narrated.
The addition of the star actors is pretty good and they elevate the scenes but the main catch is Adarsh Gaurav who is the star of the film and one can watch only for him. In a nutshell, The White Tiger has a good premise but is let down by the second half.
