Plot
Gautam played by Sumanth is a traffic cop who wants to get away from his job as a traffic SI. He likes solving cases and his only aim is to join the crime branch. So, when he gets a lead to a big case, he decides to take it upon himself and impress the crime branch heads. Well, how does he manage to do that forms the crux of Kapatadhaari.
Sumanth has changed his look for this film and he suits the cop’s role perfectly. He is fit, looks the part, and also underplays the emotions quite well. His role has been designed well and is not at all over the top and this is where Sumanth’s calm nature comes into place. Senior actor, Nasser is good in his role and does his part sincerely. Jayaprakash is also good in his role and brings a lot of depth to the film.
As we said, the film is the remake of the Kannada hit and there the narration is different and the proceedings have an undercurrent. But when it comes to the Telugu remake, the effect goes out of air. The film becomes a simple thriller and has nothing great to watch. A traffic cop investigating a crime case misses logic in many scenes. Technically, things should have been showcased in a detailed manner for the audience to understand.
