Along with Uppena, one more film called FCUK has released today. Read our review to find out if there is any juice in this Jagapathi Babu starrer.
Plot
The film is based on four principal characters. Bhupal(Jagapathi Babu) is a rich businessman who is a casanova. But his son, Karthik(Ram Karthik) is a good boy who loves Uma(Abhirami). The twist in the love story is created with a big mistake done by Karthik’s dad Bhupal. Upon this, a girl named Chitti enters the scene and changes things upside down.
Performances
Jagapathi Babu always does in his films and here too, he is pretty good as a playboy. His look and character are well suited to do such roles. The senior actor is quite a sheet anchor of the film. Ram Karthik is also impressive in his approach and has done a decent job in the film. Abhirami plays her part well and does not go overboard. But the little girl who played Chitti is superb and has nicely been cast in the film. Master Bharath is good in parts but after a point, his comedy looks cheap.
Analysis
The film has a bold theme and carries its point well initially. But after a point, the pace and depth in the story are not carried well at all. The boring narration takes a beating as mundane scenes keep coming in one after the other. Jagapathi Babu tries hard to keep things afloat with his performance but that does not happen as the director loses grip on the proceddings.
The runtime of the film is lengthy and editing is pathetic which makes the misery longer. Also, the emotions in the film do not click making the film go for a toss and make it a boring affair. In a nutshell, FCUK has a good premise but is narrated in a silly and cheap manner ending in a disturbing film.
