The director shared insights into the making of the film, revealing that shooting a particular song involving Anasuya took about 5 to 6 days. Despite initial hesitation about explaining a sensitive scene to her, the director praised Anasuya’s dedication to her role. He said that she embraced the character wholeheartedly, even preparing her own costumes for the scene immediately as she did not like the ones the staff picked for her.
The director revealed that the nude scene with Anasuya was shot using skintight clothing, with the clothes later removed through computer graphics. The director said that each character in the film has a backstory, adding depth to the narrative. However, due to time constraints, only a few tragic stories from the massacre could be depicted on screen.
He praised that Anasuya’s commitment to her role and her ability to connect with the script from the very beginning contributed to the film’s authenticity. Despite challenges, the cast and crew worked hard to portray the historical events with accuracy and sensitivity.
