Ravi Teja’s career seemed to have taken a massive beating after his films ‘Khiladi’ and ‘Rama Rao on Duty’ turned box office disasters.
But ‘Dhamaka’ became a blockbuster. It remained a puzzle for Telugu film analysts and observers as to how a film with negative talk went on to collect Rs 100 crore. Probably, audiences must have been blind you may say.
At this juncture, the role of a special cop that he played in ‘Waltair Veerayya’ became a huge boon for him. And suddenly, Ravi Teja imagined he could reach the pinnacle of his career once again. Another hit in this momentum would have turned Ravi Teja’s phase. But ‘Ravanasura’ broke his momentum.
There were no big expectations for this movie ever since the promotional campaign. There was not much hype before the release as well. Accordingly, the movie did not get good reviews either. So finally, on Tuesday, ‘Ravanasura’ took a crash landing. The situation is such that the film could not even get a share of Rs 1 crore worldwide on the fourth day.
