Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has yet again irked controversy. Raut in a media interaction slammed the NCB’s way of working and asked ‘Who doesn’t take drugs?’ Talking to an eminent news channel, Raut said, “The Narcotics Control Bureau’s job is to prevent drug smuggling, but here they are calling one person after the other. In which field, there is no addiction? Some have an addiction to money, some have other addictions.”
“The NCB is probing on a personal level which is wrong. It is like Bollywood is not making any films, they are busy peddling and consuming drugs. It’s like no-one in Bollywood has work, no-one is composing music, no-one is directing any film, no-one is writing any story, no-one is making screenplay they are only busy consuming drugs. I think this is a way to finish the Bollywood industry by defaming it. The NCB should make their investigation a low profile and when they get solid evidence then only they should summon anyone,” Raut added. Interestingly, the NCB is issuing summons on the basis of findings and proofs that are emerging during the interrogation and electronic evidence.
