In 2018, Rana Daggubati along with his Baahubali co-star Prabhas and director S. S. Rajamouli appeared on the popular talk show Koffee With Karan. Known for its controversial and entertaining moments, this episode did not disappoint. During the show, host Karan Johar asked Rana Daggubati which Bollywood actress he would pair Prabhas with. Without hesitation, Rana suggested Katrina Kaif.
Karan then turned to Prabhas for his thoughts on this match but Prabhas humorously avoided the question leaving the decision to Rana. When the question was reversed, and Prabhas was asked who he would set up Rana with, he playfully mentioned Trisha hinting at their past relationship.

Rana and Trisha had never publicly confirmed their relationship before this show but during the episode, Rana acknowledged their past together explaining that things didn’t work out between them. Rana later married Miheeka Bajaj in 2020 while rumors persist about Prabhas dating Anushka Shetty.
As for their professional lives, Prabhas recently starred in Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD which premiered on June 27, 2024. The movie featuring stars like Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani, has been highly praised for its story, execution, and performances. Set in a futuristic world, Kalki 2898 AD explores the narrative of the last city on Earth and has set new box office records since its release. A sequel is already in the works.
Prabhas is also set to collaborate with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his next film, Spirit. Shooting is scheduled to begin in December 2024, with an anticipated release between November 2025 and January 2026.
