From the time Rana Dagubati flew down to the US, speculations are rife about his health stating that the actor underwent a kidney transplant in the US. Despite all the rumours, Suresh Babu’s family has not given or issued a statement regarding this fueling the speculations to be believable. However, now Bhallaladeva has opened about the rumours surrounding his health.

Rana says, “There has been enough speculation about this, and I am tired of clarifying that I am absolutely fine and healthy. Rumours on my health are now a boring topic, aren’t they? Whenever I leave Hyderabad, people get apprehensive, but I am thankful for the love and concern people have been showering on me.”

Muttiah Muralitharan biopic

Rana will be co-producing the biopic on the Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan and Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi will be stepping into his shoes. Ask Rana what drew him to take up the biopic, he says, “I felt that the biopic had a lot of conflict and interesting episodes, yet was very inspiring too. Also, the gripping life tale of an international sporting legend makes for a great emotional connect. It’s definitely a story that deserves to be dramatised.”

Prod him if are we going to see him in the biopic, he says, “Casting is always directly proportional to the script (story). Since I am co-producing the film, it is imperative that I look at it in totality and objectively,”
