Janhvi Kapoor is marking her 27th birthday today. The popular actress has achieved success in both content-driven and commercial films throughout her journey in showbiz. Currently expanding her horizons, she has ventured into the South Indian film industry with Jr. NTR’s Devara, and today it was announced that she has signed her second Telugu film, tentatively titled RC 16, alongside Ram Charan.
The official announcement from the film’s team welcomed Janhvi Kapoor on board, stating, “#RC16 welcomes Birthday Girl #JanhviKapoor on-board! #Shivarajkumar is Playing a key role. #RamCharanRevolts In theatres 2025!”. The movie, directed by Sana Buchhi Babu, known for the Telugu film ‘Uppena,’ will feature music by Oscar award winner AR Rahman.
Despite considering various names, the makers decided to cast Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan in the film. Insiders reveal that Ram Charan will be portraying a dual role, with Janhvi Kapoor playing the love interest to one of his characters. Additionally, ‘Sita Ramam’ fame Mrunal Thakur will be acting alongside another character played by the RRR star.
Currently, Janhvi Kapoor is also working on NTR’s 30th movie directed by Koratala Shiva, expressing her excitement at the India Today Conclave, stating, “Literally counting down the days (to the film’s shoot). I message the director (Koratala Siva) every day. Working with Jr NTR has been a dream.”
Apart from her upcoming Telugu projects, Janhvi Kapoor has been part of significant Bollywood films like “Dhadak,” her debut alongside Ishaan Khatter, backed by Karan Johar. In the pipeline are movies like “Mr. and Mrs,” “Mahi,” “Ulajh,” and “Sunny Sunskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,” showcasing her versatility and commitment to her craft.
