Ram Charan recalls being punished by Chiranjeevi with a Police belt
Actor Ram Charan has always spoken highly of his relationship with his father, megastar Chiranjeevi. Their bond is well-known, and Ram often praises his father as his greatest inspiration. However, there was a memorable incident from Ram Charan’s childhood that he recounted, involving a strict lesson from Chiranjeevi.
In a 2020 interview, Ram Charan revealed a striking memory from when he was just eight years old. He recalled an incident where he was punished by his father with a police belt. This happened after Ram Charan picked up some inappropriate words from his driver and security personnel.
Ram shared that he had overheard some bad language while the staff were talking by the gate. Curious and not fully understanding the words, he asked his uncle, Naga Babu, about them. At that time, Chiranjeevi had just returned home from work. Ram’s uncle took him to Chiranjeevi’s room to explain the situation.
Chiranjeevi was upset that Ram had learned such words and was adamant about teaching him a lesson. Using a police belt—a gift from Chiranjeevi’s own father after his retirement—Chiranjeevi disciplined Ram. He explained to Ram that the words he had learned were inappropriate and should never be used.
