Ram Charan opens up about growing up away from fame
Ram Charan, a celebrated actor and son of the legendary Megastar Chiranjeevi, has often expressed admiration for his father. In an old interview, Ram Charan revealed how his father ensured his children grew up unaware of his superstar status.
Speaking on the Talk Easy podcast, Ram Charan shared that Chiranjeevi consciously kept his professional life separate from his family. He wanted his children to have a normal upbringing, far removed from the glamour of the film industry.
Ram Charan recounted a significant memory: a renowned artist painted a portrait of Chiranjeevi, but the painting never made it into their home. Chiranjeevi was determined to shield his children from the influence of his fame.

“He believed the industry was glamorous and tempting, and he wanted us to grow up with grounded values,” Ram said. “He didn’t want us to take his fame for granted or assume life would be easy.”
Ram credits his father for the values that have guided him to success. He emphasized that his upbringing prepared him to face life’s challenges independently. Chiranjeevi’s efforts ensured that his children understood the importance of hard work and humility.
In another interview, Ram Charan shared a moment from his early career. After his first film, he sought advice from Chiranjeevi on improving his craft. To his surprise, his father encouraged him to carve his own path, saying, “Create your own journey and make it unforgettable.”
Currently, Ram Charan is working on major projects like Game Changer and a film with Sukumar. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Vishwambhara.
Chiranjeevi’s approach to parenting not only shaped Ram Charan’s career but also serves as a lesson in balancing professional success with personal humility.
