Game Changer update:
Shankar has provided an update on his upcoming movie Game Changer featuring Ram Charan in the lead role that is getting delayed from many days . Directed by S Shankar, this political thriller is nearing completion with just 10-15 days of shooting left. Shankar mentioned in an interview that once his current project, “Indian 2,” releases, he will wrap up “Game Changer.”
The director said, “The film is almost finished with just another 10-15 days shoot left. As soon as it (Indian 2) releases, I’ll be finishing that movie.” For the unversed, S Shankar is currently gearing up for the release of Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2.
When asked about working with Ram Charan, Shankar expressed that the experience has been different and enjoyable. When he was asked to share his experience working with a young actor of the current generation like Ram Charan, the director kept his answer short and said, “It’s different and I’m enjoying it.”
More About Game Changer
Game Changer boasts an ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Jayaram, Sunil, and Samuthirakani. The screenplay, penned by Karthik Subbaraj, revolves around Ram Charan’s character as an IAS officer. Filming has taken place across various locations, with intermittent shooting schedules.
Earlier this year, the team released the first single, “Jaragandi,” on Ram Charan’s birthday. The music for the film is composed by S Thaman, cinematography by Tirru, and editing by Shameer Muhammed.
Shankar’s Work Front
In addition to “Game Changer,” Shankar is gearing up for the release of “Indian 2,” also known as “Hindustani 2” in Hindi, starring Kamal Haasan. The film serves as a sequel to the 1996 classic “Indian,” directed by Shankar. It follows the story of Senapathy, a veteran freedom fighter who becomes a vigilante to combat corruption in Indian society.
“Indian 2,” produced by Lyca Productions, features Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Vivek, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on July 12, 2024.
