Rakul Preet Singh reveals being replaced from a Prabhas film after 4 days of shoot
Rakul Preet Singh recently revealed an interesting and emotional story about her early days in the Telugu film industry. In an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Rakul opened up about being replaced in a Telugu film featuring Prabhas after shooting for just four days. This happened before her official Telugu debut in Venkatadri Express. Despite being removed without prior notice, Rakul shared how her naive attitude helped her handle the situation gracefully.
Rakul mentioned that she was new to the film industry at that time, and didn’t take the replacement to heart. She believed that innocence played a key role in her acceptance of the situation. Reflecting on that moment, Rakul said, “I thought, ‘Oh, they replaced me? No problem, maybe it wasn’t meant for me, I’ll do something else.’” She further revealed that the producers wanted a more established actor for the role. However, this setback didn’t stop her from moving forward. Instead, Rakul focused on finding new opportunities and made her debut with a smaller film that ended up being a huge success.
In another interaction during a Q&A session on Instagram, Rakul shared that she missed working in the Telugu film industry and was eager to return. She mentioned that she was reviewing several scripts and hoped to be part of another Telugu project soon.

On the work front, Rakul has an exciting lineup of films ahead. She will be seen in Indian 3, De De Pyaar De 2, and Meri Patni Ka Remake. Meanwhile, Prabhas also has several high-profile projects lined up, including The Raja Saab, Spirit, Kannapa, and Fauji.
Despite the setback early in her career, Rakul has successfully established herself as a prominent actress in both the Telugu and Hindi film industries.
