Young hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas has been struggling to score a proper hit for a long time. Over the last few years, none of his films worked at the box office. Finally, he changed his route and attempted a different kind of role in the film Rakshasudu. The film was released last week and gained a good talk from the critics and the audience as well.
The makers have already started to promote the film as a super hit but we hear that the film is yet to cross the break-even figure. Compared to the other films of Bellamkonda, Rakshasudu was made on a relatively smaller budget. All it needed to collect a share of Rs. 16.5 crores to enter the profit zone.
In its first week, the film made about Rs. 9.5 crores at the box office and it still needs to collect about Rs. 6.5 crores more. Now, it has a competition ins the form of new releases like Manmadhudu 2 and Kobbari Matta. Thus, it will be very tough for the film to score big at the box office. On the whole, it is being predicted that, despite all this positive talk, the film might end up with lifetime collections around Rs 13-14 crores and incur minor losses to the buyers.
