Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan set to release on THIS OTT platform
Rajinikanth’s latest movie Vettaiyan is gaining attention as it heads to a major OTT platform after its theatrical release. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan follows the story of Athiyan, an IPS officer known for his expertise in encounter operations. The film showcases Athiyan’s journey as he navigates a challenging case after being transferred to Chennai. His investigation into the death of someone he knows leads him to uncover a deeper, darker mystery, blending intense action with a gripping narrative.
According to reports, Vettaiyan will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video once it finishes its theatrical run. While the exact release date for the OTT premiere is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to arrive on the platform a few weeks after its cinema release.
The movie boasts an impressive star cast, including Amitabh Bachchan (making his Tamil debut), Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and more. This marks Rajinikanth’s fourth collaboration with music composer Anirudh Ravichander, following their successful work on films like Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. The film’s first song, Manasilaayo, has already become a hit, drawing attention with the recreated voice of the late Malaysia Vasudevan.
Rajinikanth also made headlines recently due to a health scare, but he has since been discharged from the hospital. Alongside Vettaiyan, the superstar is set to appear in Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, where he is rumored to play a darker, more intense role.
