Rajinikanth to join SRK and Prabhas in THIS elite club?

After the massive success of Jailer, director Nelson is now fully focused on its sequel, Jailer 2 with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead. Rajini has approved the project and Nelson has finalized the script. Pre-production work is also complete.

Reports suggest that Rajinikanth has allocated his dates for the film and the first schedule will begin in Chennai next week. The shoot will start with an action sequence, followed by schedules in Goa, Theni and other locations. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar, who had key roles in the first film, are expected to return for the sequel. The makers are also considering adding more big stars to increase the film’s appeal.

One of the new names being discussed is Nandamuri Balakrishna. While he was not part of the first film, reports indicate that Nelson has now crafted a significant role for him. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.

With Jailer earning over ₹600 crore globally, expectations for Jailer 2 are high, with estimates ranging between ₹800-1000 crore. However, the film’s schedule has faced slight delays due to Rajinikanth’s commitment to Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Coolie is also anticipated to be Tamil cinema’s first ₹1000 crore blockbuster.

If both Coolie and Jailer 2 achieve the ₹1000 crore milestone, Rajinikanth will join Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas in the elite club of actors with multiple ₹1000 crore films. Fans are eagerly awaiting official updates and further announcements.
