Rajinikanth a legendary superstar in Indian cinema is known for his humility and simplicity behind the scenes. Actor Arvind Swamy shared an interesting incident from their time working together on Rajinikanth’s debut film, Thalapathi directed by Mani Ratnam in 1991.
During an interaction with fans in 2016, Arvind Swamy revealed that he unintentionally made Rajinikanth sleep on the floor while filming Thalapathi. It happened when a young Arvind Swamy arrived early on set and decided to rest in a room he found not realizing it was Rajinikanth’s resting place.
He ended up falling asleep there for a few hours. When he woke up he was surprised to see Rajinikanth sleeping on the floor in the same room. Later, he learned that Rajinikanth chose to sleep on the floor so as not to disturb him.

Thalapathi, a gangster drama marked Arvind Swamy’s acting debut and was a significant collaboration between Mani Ratnam, Rajinikanth, and Mammootty. The film, inspired by the Mahabharata from Karna’s perspective, is celebrated for its direction, cinematography by Santhosh Sivan, and music by Ilaiyaraaja. It also starred Amrish Puri, Jaishankar, Shobana, Srividya, and Bhanu Priya.

Rajinikanth was last seen in his daughter Aishwarya’s directorial film Lal Salaam. The actor will next be seen in the role of a cop in TJ Gnanavel’s upcoming film Vettaiyan. The film features a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and others is eagerly anticipated. The movie has been produced by Lyca Productions and is expected to hit the silver screens on October 10th this year. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music for the film while SR Kathir and Philomin Raj take care of the cinematography and editing respectively.

Additionally, Rajinikanth is set to appear in Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj where he will play an anti-hero role. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and features music by Anirudh Ravichander.
