There was an enormous pressure on Superstar Rajinikanth to enter into politics for a long time. Finally, in December 2017, the actor revealed that he is entering into the political arena and also launched the party, Rajini Makkal Mandram. But he is still yet to foray into active politics.
Rajini and his party didn’t contest in this year’s Lok Sabha elections as well. Meanwhile, the actor was at the inauguration of K. Bala Chander’s statue at Kamal Haasan’s new office yesterday. Speaking at that event, Rajini said that he will be actively participating in politics from 2021, ahead of the Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections.
We have to see if Rajini and Kamal join hands together in those elections. In the meantime, Rajini wants to do a few films as well. His Darbar is gearing up for January release and soon after it hits the theatres, Rajini will start his next project with director Siva.
