In a major development, Srilakshmi Kanakala, Rajeev Kanakala sister and anchor Suma’s sister-in-law, has passed away after battling with cancer. As per reports, she breathed her last at her residence around 2pm om April 6. The deceased is survived by husband Peddi Rama Rao and two daughters Prerna and Ragaleena. The news was shared by Amrutham fame actor Harshavardhan, who in an video made an appeal to public and film fraternity to not visit them amid COVID_19 lockdown.
Srilakshmi’s death comes close on the heels of fer father Devadas demise who died last year, while her mother Lakshmi passed away on February 3, 2018. Spekaing about her career, she started as child artiste in Dooradarshan’s Rajasekhara Charitra. She then went on to star in daily soap operas like Agnipoolu, Chinnari, Super Mom, and Ruthu Geetham.
