Raja Saab’s delay opens door for Vishwambhara’s early release?
There’s growing speculation in film circles that Prabhas’s upcoming film The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, might not be released on its scheduled date of April 10, 2025. With five months remaining, doubts arise about its completion due to the extensive post-production and VFX work needed. As a result, many believe that Mirai, another pan-India movie from the same production company, will not be delayed from its April 18 release date. Although unconfirmed, the rumor about the post-production timeline seems credible.
In response to this uncertainty, UV Creations is reportedly considering releasing Vishwambhara. The film’s shoot is nearly finished, and the team is revisiting the graphics to address the negative feedback received from the teaser. They are aiming to wrap up the final touches by February, and there’s talk of launching the first lyrical song during the Sankranti festival. With the current lack of buzz, the film’s promotional strategy will need special attention.

Over the past few years, delays in pan-India films have become more common, with many films changing their release dates multiple times. Whether Raja Saab will follow this trend depends on the production house’s decision. The film is a horror drama featuring Nidhi Agarwal and Malavika Mohanan, with music composed by Thaman. After producer TG Vishwaprasad promised a grand scale for the film, expectations have grown. It remains to be seen whether Raja Saab will hit theaters on April 10 or Vishwambhara will make its debut instead.
