Radhakrishna Kumar, the director of Radhe Shyam, seems undeterred by the challenges faced by his previous film. Making his directorial debut with “Jill,” he showcased promising talent but encountered a setback due to budgetary issues. Prabhas, recognizing the director’s potential, collaborated with him for ‘Radhe Shyam,’ investing a substantial 300 crore budget. Unfortunately, the film received mixed reviews, facing a similar fate as his debut.
One might have expected Radhakrishna to opt for a more restrained budget for his next project atleast after ‘Radhe Shyam’s’ outcome. However, reports suggest that the director is set to collaborate with Gopichand for his third film. Despite the challenges faced in his previous ventures, UV Creations, the producers of his first two films, are offering him another opportunity.
The upcoming film with Gopichand is said to be centered around a war backdrop, featuring extensive shooting locations both in India and abroad. With pre-production in full swing, Radhakrishna appears keen on taking risks once again. Gopichand, who has faced a lull in recent years, aims to bounce back with ‘Bheema’ while also working on another project under Srinu Vaitla’s direction.
Radhakrishna’s film is expected to commence shooting soon, marking a new chapter for the director and his lead actor. Only time will tell if this collaboration will bring success and overcome the challenges faced by their previous ventures.
