Pushpa 3: Was It even needed?
The announcement of Pushpa-3: The Rampage has left fans intrigued, even before the release of Pushpa-2. While expectations ran high for a gripping twist in the climax of the second film, critics noted that Pushpa-2, with its extended runtime of over three hours, prioritized visual grandeur over a compelling storyline.
The teaser for Pushpa-3 raises several questions. Director Sukumar has deliberately held back key elements for the third installment. Interestingly, some scenes shown in the trailer for Pushpa-2 were missing in the final cut, hinting at their possible inclusion in the upcoming sequel. The second film introduced new characters but left many plotlines unresolved, culminating in the title reveal of Part-3. However, the anticipated twist failed to make a significant impact, leading to speculation that the decision to create a third part might be more about capitalizing on the franchise’s success than advancing the story.
Despite the buzz, the release of Pushpa-3 seems distant. Actor Allu Arjun is committed to a massive project with Trivikram Srinivas, a venture with an unlimited budget and no strict deadlines, requiring considerable time and focus. Simultaneously, Sukumar is preparing to direct Ram Charan in another major project, which could occupy him for the next couple of years.
Given these factors, it is unlikely that Pushpa-3 will hit the screens in the next four years. Fans may have to wait patiently for the continuation of Pushpa’s saga, as the creative team takes on other ambitious endeavors.
