Pushpa 2 budget: After the tremendous success of Pushpa: The Rise, the creators have given Sukumar and Allu Arjun substantial freedom in shaping its sequel, Pushpa 2: The  Rule. In a strategic move, both Sukumar and Allu Arjun have opted for a profit-sharing model alongside their standard fees. Known for his thorough revisions and extended shooting schedules, Sukumar has continued this meticulous approach with Pushpa 2: The Rule, resulting in a notable escalation of the film’s budget.

A significant portion of the budget has been allocated to the construction of elaborate sets, some of which have remained unused for over eighteen months due to delays and potential reshoots. This has incurred ongoing expenses in terms of rent at Ramoji Film City. Additionally, despite minimal on-set activity, actors like Rao Ramesh and Sunil have received substantial compensation. Allu Arjun himself had a two-week hiatus during filming, contributing to the extended production timeline.

The production team has also heavily invested in compensating various cast and crew members. Music director Devi Sri Prasad and actress Rashmika Mandanna have notably increased their fees due to the extended shooting schedules and commitments required for the film. The daily operations of the production have been supported by a large number of junior artists, further adding to its financial strain.

Despite these challenges, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to generate high anticipation within the industry, with expectations of recovering its substantial investment even before its theatrical release. However, the production has faced criticism for its inefficient spending practices, which some argue could have been minimized with better planning and a more concrete script.

Pushpa 2: The Rule extends the saga of Pushpa Raj, a sandalwood smuggler determined to rise within his criminal syndicate while confronting formidable adversaries like SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The sequel promises to deepen the conflicts established in the first film, featuring a talented ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
