Pushpa 2: Sandhya theater owner arrested
The premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad’s iconic Sandhya Theater took a tragic turn on December 4. The event, attended by Allu Arjun and his co-stars, attracted a massive crowd, leading to chaos and the unfortunate death of a female fan due to a stampede-like situation.
Following this incident, the Hyderabad police arrested the theater owner, M. Sandeep, along with his manager, M. Nagaraju, and security head, Gandhakam Vijay Chander. They face charges under IPC Sections 105, 118(1), and Section 3(5) of the BNS Act.

The tragedy occurred during the first-day-first-show screening of the film. Fans gathered in overwhelming numbers to see Allu Arjun and his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, adding to the crowd frenzy. Despite security arrangements, the situation spiraled out of control.
Expressing his sorrow, Allu Arjun addressed the incident through a heartfelt video. He announced a donation of ₹25 lakhs to the victim’s family and assured full support for their needs. The actor also pledged that the film’s team would cover any medical expenses related to the incident.
Pushpa 2 directed by Sukumar has been a box-office sensation crossing ₹400 crores in just three days. While its success is celebrated, the tragic incident has raised concerns about crowd management at such high-profile events.
