Pushpa 2 OTT release: Where to watch after theatrical run

The much-anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, hit theaters worldwide on December 5, 2024. Fans are flocking to cinemas to witness the continuation of Pushparaju’s journey in the red sandalwood smuggling saga. But many are eager to know where they can watch the film online after its theatrical release.

Netflix had previously announced that it secured the streaming rights for Pushpa 2. The announcement came with a poster and the statement, “Pushpa is about to come out of hiding and he’s coming to RULE! #Pushpa2: The Rule will soon be streaming on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.” However, the exact OTT release date has not yet been confirmed.

Reports suggest Netflix purchased the digital rights for a massive ₹270 crore, a testament to the film’s high expectations. Meanwhile, its prequel, Pushpa: The Rise, is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.

On another note, Pushpa 2 has elevated Allu Arjun’s stardom further. He has reportedly become the highest-paid actor in India, earning ₹300 crore for this project. Co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil received ₹10 crore and ₹8 crore, respectively. The film also features Sreeleela, who was paid ₹2 crore for her special dance number, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who earned ₹5 crore for her Oo Antava performance in the first installment.

As fans eagerly await the digital release of Pushpa 2, the buzz around the sequel’s story and performances ensures it will remain a hot topic in entertainment.
