Pushpa 2 box office collections day 5
The box office success of Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to break records, as the film’s collections have now crossed ₹590 crore on Day 5. Directed by Sukumar, the film is a sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise and stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil.
After an impressive opening weekend, Pushpa 2 passed the critical Monday test, with a strong collection of ₹65.1 crore on Day 5. The film’s total earnings stand at ₹594.1 crore by the end of the first five days. The film also achieved remarkable single-day earnings, bringing in ₹93.8 crore on Friday, ₹119.25 crore on Saturday, and ₹141.05 crore on Sunday. It is expected to surpass ₹600 crore by Tuesday.
Allu Arjun plays the role of Pushpa Raj, a red sanders smuggler, who has risen to power in the criminal world. The film continues his story, with Pushpa now leading a smuggling syndicate and facing off against police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, portrayed by Fahadh Faasil. The movie’s narrative sets the stage for Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
Pushpa 2 has already set multiple records, including the highest-grossing opening for any Indian film and the highest for a Hindi-language film. It became the first film to earn over ₹50 crore in two languages on the same day.
The film’s success has received a warm response from fans and cast members alike. Allu Arjun shared his gratitude on Instagram, saying, “Gangaamma Thalli Blessings,” along with a still from the film.
In terms of audience reach, the film has performed well in both Telugu and Hindi markets. On Monday, the Telugu version saw 38.33% occupancy, while the Hindi version was slightly higher at40.11%.
