TDP always had filmi glamour with it. In fact the party itself was born out of the efforts of legendary actor NTR. Actors like Rao Gopala Rao, Kaikala Satyanarayana and Jayaprada were with the party for many years. In the later years, AVS, director Raghavendra Rao, Murali Mohan and others worked for the party. Most film personalities were close to the TDP dispensation.
But, knowing which way the wind is blowing, the film industry is slowly adjusting its sails and is trying to get pally with the YSRCP. Actors like Krishnudu and Ali are coming closer to the party and are willing to campaign for the party.
The latest to join the bandwagon is ace director Puri Jagannadh. No… Puri is not going to contest the elections. His brother Puri Umasankar Ganesh is likely to contest the election from north Andhra region. If he contests, then Puri Jagan and his other brother Sairam Shankar will campaign for him. In fact, in the past too, Puri Jagan’s mother contested for the village sarpanch post and Puri Sairam Shankar had actively campaigned for him
So, if all goes well, Puri Jagan might campaign for his brother. Already Sairam Shankar is in the village to coordinate the things for him. Puri Jagan is likely to join soon.
