HIT The First Case starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore. The thriller marks Rajkummar and Sanya’s first collaboration.
It had released in cinemas in mid-July. It slowly began to work its magic at the box office and fared well. According to trade sources, the film was made on a budget of 37 crores, including publicity and promotion. Most of the budget was recovered through non-theatrical rights. The rights were sold for a whopping 36.5-37.5 crores.
Producers made the wise decision to release on their own with no NRA model. So the money it made from the theatrical release is all profit. According to trade reports, the film made a decent net collection of 12.75 crores at the box office thanks to positive word of mouth, and the producers profited between 5.5 and 6 crores. And the producers are very happy with the outcome.
The film recently debuted on OTT and with the audience’s love the film is trending at the No.1 position and it is expected to continue for 2 more weeks. Considering the revenues, rave reviews from the critics, and an IMDB rating of 7.5, 83% on Book My Show, and 4.6 on Google HIT: The First Case has turned out to be a successful project.
